3D printed gears · nylon and PETG

We print gears, pinions, pulleys and mechanism parts in nylon, PETG or carbon fibre nylon. We copy the broken gear or design it from the module, tooth count and shaft.

3D printed nylon gear, bushing and hinge

Many devices stop working because of one worn plastic gear: blenders, blinds, printers, toys, tools, old machines. The device is fine, but the part is no longer sold.

We count the teeth, measure the outer diameter and the shaft and work out the module. For gears that work hard we use nylon, which resists wear and is self-lubricating; for stiff, precise parts, PA-CF.

FAQ

What do you need to make a gear?

Tooth count, outer diameter, thickness and the shaft diameter and shape. With the old gear, even worn, we work it out ourselves.

Will it last as long as the original?

In nylon, a printed gear usually lasts as long as or longer than a cheap injection-moulded original. With very small teeth (module below 0.8) printing loses precision.

Do you make metal gears?

No, plastics only. For high loads we recommend carbon fibre nylon or machined metal.

Would you rather we contact you?

Leave your WhatsApp or email and tell us what you need. We reply today or the next working day.
